The passion of Snyder

Although Man of Steel came out in 2013 (*gasp* 10 years ago!) the movie starring Henry Cavill and directed by Jehovah himself (according to some intense fans on the internet) Zack Snyder, had been cooking for a long time.  This is the beginning of the story that would unite some of the most obsessive and toxic fans on the internet. More toxic than K-pop and MCU fans. Bringing laughter, pain, and embarrassment to many people for the next decade.  Actors, studio execs, producers, writers, and directors all got caught in the hurricane. We need to go to the beginning to understand the mess that became the DC cinematic universe aka Snyder verse aka DC films, aka DC Elsewhere.  Let's start. 2010: OCTOBER:   Deadline broke the news that Zack Snyder will be directing Man of Steel, the first Superman film since the failed Superman Returns in 2006 which starred Brandon Roth. It began all the way back in 2012 after The Dark Knight Rises.  What will they think up next? Was the question in everyone's minds during those wild internet days. That's how we got the DCEU and their constant scrapping, and back and forth reboot or quasi reboots.  11 years after Nolan's arc ended and 10 years after Man of Steel, what the hell happened?
