Gospel 1: It all started with Superman in the middle of Batman's trilogy

Although Man of Steel came out in 2013 (*gasp* 10 years ago!) the movie starring Henry Cavill and directed by Jehovah himself (according to some intense fans on the internet) Zack Snyder, had been cooking for a long time.  This is the beginning of the story that would unite some of the most obsessive and toxic fans on the internet. More toxic than K-pop and MCU fans. Bringing laughter, pain, and embarrassment to many people for the next decade.  Actors, studio execs, producers, writers, and directors all got caught in the hurricane. We need to go to the beginning to understand the mess that became the DC cinematic universe aka Snyder verse aka DC films, aka DC Elsewhere.  Let's start. 2010: OCTOBER:   Deadline broke the news that Zack Snyder will be directing Man of Steel, the first Superman film since the failed Superman Returns in 2006 which starred Brandon Roth. Snyder would start rolling cameras as soon as he's done with his trippy male gaze fantasy film (sarcastically usi

Why? It's the first question

A Twitter user named Neb tweeted: someone should make a proper extensive timeline of the warner brothers DC drama, that period in december alone where the craziest gal gadot/henry cavill headlines were dropping like twice a day shouldn't be forgotten https://twitter.com/NebsGoodTakes/status/1627453958976581632  Sure, that would be easy, but in my opinion the Warner Bros DC Drama began long before James Gunn and Mr. Zaslav. It began all the way back in 2012 after The Dark Knight Rises.  What will they think up next? Was the question in everyone's minds during those wild internet days. That's how we got the DCEU and their constant scrapping, and back and forth reboot or quasi reboots.  11 years after Nolan's arc ended and 10 years after Man of Steel, what the hell happened? I'm gonna deep dive. I hope you read, and even if you don't read, that's ok. My passions are history and timelines.
